BiFree Sports creates this new trail-running race that will open registrations on May 25
BiFree Sports has created a new stage race through the Pyrenees called Brama Stage Run. A three-day trail running race that will take place from October 20 to 22 with Ribes de Freser (Girona) as the epicenter. The Brama Stage Run has the support of Tuga Active Wear and “Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Pirineu”.
This stage race adds to the two adventures already organized by BiFree, such as the Costa Brava Stage Run (CBSR) and the Pyrenees Stage Run (PSR). The Brama Stage Run is a new sporting event that wants to be a “taste” of the PSR. With the difference that there will be fewer days (three days, from Friday to Sunday), different distances, but with the same objective: to live an experience that goes beyond running in the mountains and that allows you to meet other people and spend unforgettable days sharing the passion for sport and the mountains.
Opening of registrations on May 25
On Thursday, May 25 at 9 in the morning, registration will open for all those runners who love adventure and the Pyrenees and who want to participate in the Brama Stage Run. One of the characteristic features of the races organized by BiFree Sports is that many of its registered runners repeat their experiences year after year.
Three distances designed for all levels
The Brama Stage Run offers up to three different distances to choose from depending on the level of training and experience. This new race offers a distance of 100 kilometers in total, another of 80km and a shorter one of 60km to complete during the 3 days. All stages will end in Ribes de Freser, where dinner and briefing will be organized after each stage.
The first stage will start in Ribes de Freser and will go through the “Serra Cavallera”. The second stage will start at the “Vall de Núria” sanctuary (where you will go up with the rack railway) and will take a tour of “Vall de Núria” and “Gorges del Freser” (“Capçaleres del Ter-Freser” Natural Park). Finally, the last stage will also start from Ribes de Freser and will enter “Serra de Montgrony”. Three very different stages to enjoy the best of the Eastern Pyrenees!
Two registration modalities
The organization, in the same way that it does with the CBSR and the PSR, offers two registration modalities: the Basic registration without accommodation and the Full Experience with hotel. The big difference with respect to the other two races is that all the finish lines will be in Ribes de Freser and two of the three stages will also start from this little town in the Ripollès region.
The co-director of BiFree, Jordi Vissi, has highlighted that the creation of the Brama “allows people to live the experience of our other races, but in a more comfortable format for all types of runners“. “Three stages in three very different areas of the Eastern Pyrenees, three distance modalities, Ribes de Freser as base camp and the ease of access to the Pyrenees for the international public are some of the strongest logistical points of this race“, he added.
