How to get to Ribes de Freser?
There are various options to get to the starting line of the Brama Stage Run in Ribes de Freser. We have also two airports nearby, which make it easy for international runners to get to the race.
By car
You can easily reach the start by car. You can calculate the route clicking here or in the following map. Ribes de Freser can be accessed by car via the N-260.
By train
You can reach Ribes de Freser by train R3 line of the Catalonian trains (Rodalies RENFE). You can check the train journey and schedule here.
From Barcelona Airport:
You can reach the start in Ribes de Freser by train from Barcelona airport:
By train
From Barcelona Airport you first have to reach “Catalunya” train station in Barcelona center. You can take the Aerobus from both T1 & T2 that will take you to Catalunya Square in about 35′. From there you can take the train R3 line of the Catalonian trains (Rodalies RENFE) to Ribes de Freser. You can check the train schedule here. The train journey is direct (no changing trains) and will last about 2h.20′.
From Girona Airport:
You can reach the start in Blanes both by bus and train from Girona airport.
By bus
From Girona airport you should take a bus to Girona train and bus station (check the timetables here), and from there you can take the bus to Llívia which only runs on weekdays from Monday to Friday at 16:10 and arriving at Ribes de Freser at 18:20 (check the timetables here). This is the fastest option although the less frequent.
By bus + train
From Girona airport you should take a bus (Eix-Bus) to Lleida and get off at Vic (check the timetables here). This journey lasts 50′. Once in Vic, you should take the train R3 line of the Catalonian trains (Rodalies RENFE) to Ribes de Freser. You can check the train schedule here. The train journey will last about 1h. This combined option is the most feasible in terms of time and frequency.
By train
From Girona airport you should take a bus to Girona train and bus station (check the timetables here), and from there you can take the train R11 line of the Catalonian trains (Rodalies RENFE) to Barcelona-Sants (train journey of 1h20′). You can also take a faster train to Barcelona-Sants (AVE/AVANT 40′), check here for tickets.
In Barcelona-Sants you will have to change the train and take the line R3 to Ribes de Freser (the joourney will take approximately 2h.25′). You can check the train schedule here.
